After the atrocities committed by the Israeli navy in international waters by shooting dead members of a unarmed civilian humanitarian aid flotilla - see video (top right) - bound for Gaza to help the Palestinians who have been herded and walled into the Gaza strip in what has been described as the world’s biggest outdoor prison, people in countries all round the world demonstrated on May 31st to show their anger at Israel which continues to flout international law. The Israeli navy committed an act of piracy on the high seas by surrounding, capturing the vessels and killing and wounding many of those on board. (This is in addition to the frequent acts of piracy by Israeli navy against Palestinian fishing boats - see video (right.)) In fact according to UN law it is more than piracy, it is an act of war. If a group of ships from another country captures and steal a private ship it is rightly named piracy but the British and US media have been reluctant to name what Israel has done as even piracy, let alone war. Moreover, attacking and murdering people on board a UN vessel would immediately earn the perpetrators a declaration of war and retaliatory strikes if they were from a Muslim or communist country or even another western European country but it seems that Israel is above the law, not only in terms of having licence to commit genocide on the Palestinians but in murdering anyone who dares to defy their will, whether that be to deliver food to Palestinian families whom they want to starve to death, or to go to Palestine as observers and report on their inhuman treatment. Killing UN members is not new to Israel. When Israel murdered 1400 civilians in Gaza which they have besieged and blockaded for 3 years now, the UN rightly condemned those acts. What did Israel do after the criticism of its actions? -it bombed a UN building. A message is being given by Israel to the world that anyone who dares to criticise Israel or try to prevent the murder of Palestinians, will be given the same treatment as the Palestinians - a bullet in the forehead or a white phosphorus bomb on their building.
Why does the UK government do nothing about it? Why does the British media not report it? Why does America likewise do nothing about it? The answer is that Zionism which is a very controlling form of international capitalism and imperialism, which cares not even about Jews let alone Arabs, but only for the acquisition of more power, land and wealth in the world and about the extermination of anyone who stands in their way whether they be individuals, groups or whole nations, and whether they be Muslim, Christian or Jew, has penetrated the upper echelons of western government and media. Religious orthodox Jews have also been treated savagely by the Zionists - see video (right) if they dare criticise Israel’s plans. It is not uncommon for peacefully demonstrating Rabbis (often old men) to be beaten up and dragged along the ground by Israeli police or by gangs with the tacit approval of the police who deliberately keep their distance while the thugs do the work for them.
Let no one be under any illusion that the creation of the state of Israel was to benefit Jews or keep them safe from any potential Nazis in the future - this is the Big Lie that virtually the whole world has swallowed; it was in fact created as an outpost of capitalism and imperialism at a strategically useful point (does this ring a bell? - this is why Iraq and Afhanistan have been invaded too: they have great geo-political significance as well as an abundance of oil.) The international capitalists who run the West could not pretend that Iraq or Afghanistan were the promised land, using the Jewish religion to justify it, as they had already bagged Palestine for that, so they had to invent other pretexts. In fact Palestine was not the first choice of a “promised land” for Jews - the island of Diego Garcia was initially eyed by some of the Zionists but the American-based ones wanted that for themselves and then the British-based ones, since Britain has for a long time been the weaker partner of America, decided to offer up part of Palestine which they had colonised, to be the promised land, and the indigenous Muslims and Jews and Christians who had lived together in peace in that land for centuries, have since been invaded by Zionist capitalists with a military and imperialist agenda in the east of the world.
The American government in particular has continued to send “aid” to Israel for the building up of a military supreme state. It has one of the biggest nuclear arsenals in the world, with America having the biggest in the whole world. Yet other countries who are not complicit in the American-dominated international Zionist imperialist plan, if they use just a little nuclear energy to produce electricity, are named “rogue states” and a threat to the world in order to give self-justification to the US for invading them. Even if the countries of strategic interest don’t use nuclear energy, some other pretext is invented to invade them, usually that of removing some bogey-man, whether he governs the place or is only rumoured to be living there, and then after removing him, the invasion goes on “to keep the peace” while the capitalist/Zionist/expansionist forces further penetrate the land into other borders. |
